Organization Validated (OV) certificates are authenticated with nine validation checks and are considered a mid-level business certificate. With OV certificates, CAs authenticate domain ownership similar to DV certificates.
The basic difference between DV SSL vs OV SSL is the level of verification carried out by the certificate authority (CA). In DV SSL the CA will only verify the ownership of the domain while in OV SSL the CA will verify the business details along with domain ownership.
Now most SSL certificates are available for 6-year Subscription Plans. For security reasons, your certificate will initially be issued with a maximum of 13-months validity. Prior to the expiration, we will contact you to replace your certificate for another maximum duration certificate.
You can reissue your certificate at any time and as many times as you like. No more lost days or weeks on single year certificates trying to time a new purchase and re-submission.
